	Horsham Township Council Breaks Ground for the New Police Station On Saturday, December 6, 2008, Horsham Township Council broke ground for the new Horsham Township Police Station. The new building will be located on the property adjacent to the Municipal Building at 1025 Horsham Road, which is also the location of the Township's Community Center that was opened in 2005.
	'Money Magazine' Ranks Horsham #15 of the Top 100 Places to Live in the USA! Horsham Township Council announced that Money Magazine proclaimed Horsham Township to be number 15 in the top 100 communities in the United States in 2007. Four of the top 100 communities are in Pennsylvania.
	Horsham Township Awarded for Partnership in Environmental Education At the Pennsylvania Environmental Council's 2008 Conference held at Villanova University on March 8, the Horsham Township Environmental Advisory Board was presented with the award for Partnership in Environmental Education.
	Latest Addition to Horsham's Trail System Members of Horsham Council walk the newly paved trail connecting the township's Power Line Trail to the Library. In addition, a connecting trail was constructed linking the Library to Simmons Elementary School.
	Horsham Township Council Opens New Basketball Court at Lukens Park on Dresher Road Horsham Council members were among the first to test their basketball skills on the newly constructed full size court. The court, which is next to Everybody's Playground and the pavilion, is the latest major improvement to one of the many township parks.
	Horsham Township Council Honors the Horsham Little League Association Council President Joanna Furia stated, "Horsham Township Council wishes to publicly recognize the outstanding contribution of all the men and women who have through their unsung efforts over the years made possible the fine athletic teams we have in Horsham today.
	Horsham Township Council Recognizes the Major Sponsors of Horsham Day 2006 With Horsham Day 2007 approaching, Horsham Township Council took time at their March 14, 2007 meeting to recognize the three main sponsors of Horsham Day 2006.
	Horsham Township Council Recognizes Community Volunteer Joanna Furia, Council President, announced that it is with great pleasure that we recognize Bob John for his service to Horsham Township. Mrs. Furia explained that Bob has consistently demostrated his outstanding commitment to Horsham Township and the residents of the Hatboro Horsham area.
	Horsham Township Council received a $10,000.00 check from PECO Energy to assist in funding the Power Line Trail Library and Simmons Elementary School Connection. Green Region, the PECO Energy Open Space Grant Program, recognizes that open space in our communities is a crucial piece of the quality of our lives.
	Horsham Township, Montgomery County, has received third place honors for its entry in the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors' 35th Annual Township Citizen Communication Contest. The annual contest recognizes townships that have successfully communicated programs and activities to citizens.
	Governor Schweiker Honors Horsham Township for Protecting Water Resources On April 16, 2002, Gov. Mark Schweiker and DEP Secretary David E. Hess recognized Horsham Township for our commitment to watershed restoration and environmental protection. Horsham Township was one of 24 organizations from across Pennsylvania selected to receive a 2002 Governor's Award for Watershed Stewardship from the Governor and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).
