Horsham Township awarded PECO Grant

Horsham receives $10,000.00 PECO Grant

Horsham Township Council received a $10,000.00 check from PECO Energy to assist in funding the Power Line Trail Library and Simmons Elementary School Connection.

Green Region, the PECO Energy Open Space Grant Program, recognizes that open space in our communities is a crucial piece of the quality of our lives. PECO Energy has committed itself to assisting municipalities in southeastern Pennsylvania with their on-going efforts to protect, acquire and improve open land.

The funds will go towards the construction of a connecting trail from the Township's Power Line Trail to the Horsham Township Library. In addition, it will assist in the construction of a connecting trail from Simmons Elementary School to the Horsham Township Library.

PECO Montgomery County Affairs Manager, Suzanne Ryan, said, "The applications that we received the past couple rounds made the process pretty competitive. The fact that you have been selected speaks a lot to the quality of the project you submitted and the staff that put it together".
