Leaf and Yard Waste Drop-off Location

In an effort to increase participation in the State mandated recycling of leaf waste; the Township has located a container in the rear parking lot of the Municipal Complex at 1025 Horsham Road. Leaf waste includes leaves, garden residue, shrubbery, and tree trimmings but does not include grass. Please no stumps, tree trunks or logs. All leaf waste must be placed in biodegradable bags. This service is available to residential property owners only and we will not accept waste from landscapers or non-residential properties. The area is under video surveillance and violators will be prosecuted. Starting in the fall of 2010 the Township will also have brown biodegradable bags for sale.

All material dropped off will be taken to a Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection authorized composting facility.

Residents are encouraged to compost leaves and garden debris on their property as a means of recycling this material as valuable mulch and nutrient for your lawn and/or garden.

Residents are also encouraged to use a mulching mower or leave the grass clippings on the lawn to return nitrogen to the soil resulting in a better looking lawn.

All items must be in brown paper biodegradable bags
Leaves.

Grass clippings.
Stumps.
Tree trunks.
Logs.
