The Police And The Community Working Together

Presented jointly by the Horsham Township Police Department and the Hatboro Borough Police Department the Citizen's Police Academy has been a great success. Having graduated several classes now, the academy shows the citizens of the area just what the police do in the course of their days. Classes include Accident Investigation, Crimes Code, Use of Force and Domestic Violence. Demonstrations are presented by Upper Moreland K-9 officers and the Moreland Area Emergency Response Team. A local District Justice speaks about judicial issues and a local family tells of their son's drug addiction and recovery, as well as displaying various ways of concealing drugs and drug paraphernalia.
