On August 22, Horsham Township Council members were joined by Governor Tom Wolf and Representative Todd Stephens, to announce new funding to assist with the PFAS remediation costs. Governor Wolf stated that a $3.8-million grant will be issued to support water treatment efforts in Horsham, Warminster, Warrington, and Warwick townships.

In 2016, Horsham Township Council adopted a “non-detect standard” for PFAS, which was accomplished in April of 2017 – but at a cost to our residents that they should not have to bear. Since 2016 Township Council has engaged and lobbied State and Federal lawmakers to secure funds to cover the expense.

Township Council President Greg Nesbitt stated, “Township Council and myself will continue to push at all levels in order to receive reimbursement for the surcharges paid over the past two years, as well as funds which will offset the expense in years to come”

We are proud to say that Horsham has the highest water standards in the nation. A very big THANK YOU to Horsham Township Council, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, State Representative Todd Stephens, and everyone involved in acquiring this funding for Horsham Township!
