It's almost the 4th of July - so let's talk about fireworks! The PA State Law on fireworks has a few rules which govern the use of legal consumer grade fireworks:

  •  You must be 18 years or older to buy fireworks
  •  Fireworks cannot be set off on public or private property without the property owner's permission
  •  Fireworks cannot be set off from/in a vehicle or building
  •  Fireworks cannot be set off toward a vehicle or building
  •  Fireworks cannot be set off within 150ft of an occupied structure, regardless if someone is actually present
  •  Fireworks cannot be set off by someone who is under the influence

Please remember to be mindful of our furry friends and fellow neighbors who are sensitive to loud, unexpected noises and may not appreciate fireworks being set off late into the night. We encourage our residents to have open communication with their neighbors if they are planning to set off fireworks this holiday weekend. Be safe and have a Happy 4th of July!
