Recycling Collection

Residents of Horsham Township are required to recycle by state law and municipal ordinance. Licensed residential trash haulers are required to collect recyclables at least once a week.

This is your opportunity to reduce the amount of waste going to our landfills, save energy and conserve natural resources. Your participation is important. The Township’s goal is to have less waste and more recycling. Your waste reduction and recycling activities can make a difference.

Recyclable items include:

  • Aluminum Cans
  • Cartons (beverage, tissue, food)
  • Cereal Boxes
  • Corrugate/Cardboard Boxes
  • Cracker/Cookie/Candy Boxes
  • Gift/Toy Boxes
  • Gift Wrap (no foil)
  • Glass Bottles (clear/green/brown)
  • Hard Cover Books
  • Junk Mail & Greeting Cards
  • Magazines & Newspapers
  • Office/Computer Paper
  • Paper Plates (not soiled)
  • Pizza Boxes (no wax paper)
  • Plastic #1— #7 (number is on bottom)
  • Steel Cans
  • Telephone Books

Items NOT acceptable for recycling:

  • Batteries
  • Foam packaging
  • Oil Cans
  • Paint
  • Styrofoam
  • Television/Electronics
  • Wax Corrugated Boxes
  • Wax paper
  • Wood objects
